RESEARCH STUDIES

Human Studies

Subjects participated in a two-group, randomized intervention, where one group (n=10) consumed 1 gram/day and the other (n=10) consumed 3 gram/day. Safety and tolerability of LENTIN PLUS 1000 were assessed with total bilirubin, total protein, creatinine, and liver function tests. All subjects tolerated the product without any adverse reactions.

Repeated Dose Test

In a safety study in dogs, after the administration of LENTIN PLUS 1000 for 4 weeks at a dose of 20 mg/kg/day or 200 mg/kg/day, no abnormal findings were observed. The No Observed Adverse Effect Level (NOAEL) of the product was estimated to be 200 mg/kg/day or more.

Single Dose Test

Male and female Wistar rats were given a single oral dose of LENTIN PLUS 1000 at 5, 10, 18, 27, or 36 g/kg. LENTIN PLUS 1000 was regarded as non-toxic according to the reference: LD50>36 g/kg.

Mutagenicity Test

LENTIN PLUS 1000, up to a concentration of 10,000 μg/plate, tested negative in a bacterial reverse mutation test, both with and without metabolic stimulation.
